On Sunday, 24 August 2025, Arriva's new timetable in Limburg will commence. This new timetable features further improvements in public transport in Limburg.

These are implemented step by step, with attention to sustainability, reliability, and better connections for travellers. The timetable for Arriva’s trains remains unchanged. This also applies to buses in Northern and Central Limburg.

What changes?

From 24 August 2025, Arriva will introduce significant improvements. These are some of the innovations:

  • More seats and comfort thanks to the deployment of 6 electric extended buses in Maastricht and Parkstad.
  • In Maastricht, there will be more buses to Randwyck (MUMC+, MECC, Maastricht University) and a new line 11 to schools in the east of the city.
  • The schools in the east of Maastricht will be better and more quickly accessible with the new line 11 (from the city) and the renewed lines 650 and 659 (from Heuvelland).
  • In Parkstad, Arriva will start a shuttle service (line 611) between the Heerlen Station and Zuyd University of Applied Sciences. Voerendaal will also get a regular connection to the Zuyderland hospital in Heerlen.
  • In Sittard and Aachen, Arriva will adjust its timetable due to major roadworks. This ensures that travellers can continue their journeys as smoothly as possible.

Everyone in Limburg can count on good public transport

With Arriva Dal Vrij Limburg, but also with new products such as Arriva Kids Vrij Limburg and Arriva Voordeel Jeugd Limburg, public transport is made more attractive for families and youngsters. Since the beginning of August, youngsters aged between 12 and 18 can travel affordably with Arriva in Limburg via the new Arriva Voordeel Jeugd Limburg subscription.

This free monthly subscription is available online and can be easily linked to a personal payment card via OVpay. Travellers pay per trip and automatically receive a discount from €10. Additionally, they pay a maximum of €50 per month. If they do not travel, they don’t have to pay. This initiative by Arriva and the Province of Limburg has been specially developed for the start of the 2025-2026 school year. More information can be found at arriva.nl/voordeeljeugdlimburg.
