On Friday, May 16, 2025, the Sportpark Höngen in Selfkant (Germany) will be transformed into an atmospheric concert venue for a special highlight during the tri-national Cittaslow weekend: the Euregional Cittaslow Concert.

Musicians from Echt-Susteren (The Netherlands), Maaseik (Belgium), and Selfkant (Germany) will come together to perform a cross-border concert that impressively combines musical quality and European cooperation.

The orchestra consists of members from various music associations from the three participating municipalities. The musical direction is in the hands of John Vandecaetsbeek, director of the Municipal Academy for the Arts in Maaseik. For this occasion, he composed a series of impressive arrangements – including moving interpretations of well-known film music.

Two outstanding vocalists from the region will perform as soloists: Britt Eberson (Echt-Susteren) and Tamara Albers (Selfkant). Their voices will blend in with the orchestra into a musical masterpiece that will make the cultural connection of the Euregion audible.

The concert begins at 8:00 PM and promises to be an unforgettable evening for music lovers, culture enthusiasts, and supporters of international cooperation.
