On Monday, April 6, 2026 (Easter Monday), it’s time for the ‘Paasmarkt’, the annual Easter Market in Born. Are you planning to visit the Easter Market on Easter Monday?

What is the Easter Market in Born?

Every year, the centre of Born is transformed into a lively Easter Market on Easter Monday. More than 200 vendors set up over 300 different market stalls, offering items such as clothing, jewellery, antiques, and of course food and drinks. There are also fairground attractions for children.

Start and end time

The Easter Market starts at 9:00 AM and ends at 5:00 PM. At 10:00 AM, the municipal executive and members of the city council of Sittard-Geleen will make an opening round as a symbolic start of the market.

Parking

Parking is free throughout Born. Due to the expected crowds, additional free parking spaces are available at the Broekman Logistics site at Heirweg 2 in Born.

Borner Paosj-sjpektakel

In addition to the Easter Market, the Borner Paosj-sjpektakel will also take place - a celebration with live music at the market in Born. Various artists will perform from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Start of the brocante market season

A brocante (vintage/antique) market can be found at the parking area of the community centre. This market marks the start of the so-called “brocante market season.” From Easter until the end of October 2026, this brocante market will be held every Thursday afternoon in the centre of Geleen.
