Geleen – On Friday, 28 November 2025, you can have your blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar levels measured for free and discuss your lifestyle at the Heart Checkpoint in Laco Geleen/Sittard (Kummenaedestraat 45, Geleen).

The Heart Checkpoint is open from 10:00 to 17:00. No registration is required: you can simply drop in. This Heart Checkpoint is offered by the Heart Foundation in collaboration with Laco Geleen/Sittard.

Free measurements and (lifestyle) advice

Visit the Heart Checkpoint free of charge. When it’s your turn, you’ll receive the results of your measurements after 15 minutes. Take the time after your measurements to talk to local lifestyle advisers! They can give advice about nutrition, sport and exercise, or quitting smoking.

Lifestyle advisers from Sports Foundations will be present at this Heart Checkpoint. After your visit, you’ll know what you can do to keep your heart in a good condition.

Even if you’re healthy

The Heart Checkpoint is intended for people aged between 40 and 70 who do not have a heart or vascular disease and who do not use medication for blood pressure, cholesterol or blood sugar. Come along, even if you feel healthy!

Hidden risk

Many people over 40 have an increased risk of heart and vascular diseases without realising it. For instance, they may not have noticed an elevated blood pressure or cholesterol level because they don’t feel ill. If you discover such an increase in time, you can often do something about it yourself by adopting a healthier lifestyle.
