Night closures of the A2 between the Born and Urmond interchanges, Bergerweg and N297

In the nights from March 20 to 22, Rijkswaterstaat will be carrying out work, including on the ’t Rooth viaduct (Steenakkerweg) and the Graetheide viaduct (Bergerweg).
Due to the widening of the A2 motorway, the motorway will be closed at night between Born and Urmond in both directions. At the same time, the Bergerweg and the N297 (Langereweg) will also be closed. Traffic will be diverted during the works.
The following works will take place during the closures:
  • Installation of girders at the new ’t Rooth (Steenakkerweg) and Graetheide (Bergerweg) viaducts. These are the concrete support beams forming the base of the viaducts;
  • Removal of the northern bicycle bridge at the Born interchange (47);
  • Other maintenance work, such as replacing asphalt.

Closures

The A2 will be closed between the Urmond (48) and Born (47) interchanges in both directions on:
  • Friday, March 20, 21:00 to Saturday, March 21, 08:00
  • Saturday, March 21, 21:00 to Sunday, March 22, 08:00
The Bergerweg at the A2 will also be closed on:
  • Friday, March 20, 19:00 to Saturday, March 21, 09:00
  • Saturday, March 21, 19:00 to Sunday, March 22, 09:00
The N297 at its junction with the A2 will be closed only in the direction from Germany to Born on:
  • Saturday, March 21, 20:00 to Sunday, March 22, 07:00

Traffic measures

Traffic will be diverted via regional roads during the works. Road users should expect an additional travel time of about 10 minutes. Diversion routes will be indicated with yellow signs.
