Immerse yourself in Sittard’s local carnival atmosphere: On Friday, September 26, you can visit the spectacular ‘Zittesj Vastelaovesleidjes Konkoer’ (ZVK, Sittard’s Carnival Song Contest)! From 20:11, schlager enthusiasts will be welcome at Poppodium Volt. The doors will open at 19:30.

It promises to be an unforgettable evening with a fantastic mix of original carnival songs, surprising covers in the Sittard dialect, and a spectacular guest performance by none other than Spik & Span, multiple winners of the Limburg Carnival Song Contest (LVK).

Competition for the Thei Hunnekens Trophy

A total of 7 original songs will compete for the coveted Thei Hunnekens Trophy, an award for the best local carnival song. This is the starting order of the participants:
