Easter Monday – you can visit the annual Paasmarkt (Easter Market) in Born. Here you will find details about the programme and practical information on accessibility.

What is the Easter Market in Born?

Every year, the centre of Born is transformed into a cozy Easter Market, which always attracts many visitors. This street market features more than 200 merchants with over 300 different market stalls. They sell clothing, jewellery, antiques, and of course snacks and drinks. And for the children, there are fairground attractions.

Start and end time

The Easter Market starts at 09:00 and ends at 17:00. At 10:00, the mayor, aldermen and members of the city council of Sittard-Geleen will walk an opening round as a symbolic opening of the Easter Market.

Parking

Parking is free throughout Born. Due to the large crowds that are expected, additional free parking spaces are available at the Broekman Logistics site at Heirweg 2 in Born.

Borner Paosj-sjpektakel

In addition to the Easter Market, you can enjoy the Borner Paosj-sjpektakel, a party with live music. From 12:00 to 19:00, various artists will perform for you on the market square in Born.

Start of the flea market season

In the parking lot of the community centre at Prins Bisdomstraat 5 in Born, you will find a flea market. This market will mark the start of the so-called 'brocante market season' in Sittard-Geleen. From Easter until the end of October 2025, you will find this brocante market in the centre of Geleen on Thursday afternoons.
